"It" Doesn't Cut It

I was reading a news story the other day, about a man who travelled to Haiti to investigate the problem of child trafficking there.  It struck me as disgusting, that the men responsible for the sale of these children, habitually referred to a victim who was to be sold, as "it".  Not "he" or "she", but "it".  People often refer to their pets with more dignity!  These children were considered to be mere, insentient objects.  I don't know how a human being can view another that way.

I don't have a big dissertation in mind, here.  I'm just running my mouth (so to speak).

I'll end with one of my favorite Bible verses:

For ye are all the children of God by faith in Christ Jesus.

-Galatians 3:26

Not Just Another News Story

We hear about human trafficking on the news, and dismiss it as a problem that we can do little or nothing about.

Praise the Lord, most of us have no first-hand knowledge of the horrors of slavery.  It is important, though, to hear from those who do.

We are not helpless.  Action begins with education.  I urge you to begin by reading this.  It is the story of an eye-witness account of little children held against their will in a brothel.  It will change your heart and embolden you to seek out ways to help rescue these precious little ones!
